I should record, in the interests of fairness, that I have never been able to get my mind around the attractions of, or the compulsion to,

# wanting children
# suicide
# jealousy


Some very large elements of human experience are denied me, even though it does make for a quiet life.

You should expand these, in the style of Montaigne. I just read his essay on "sadness" - like you with the varied emotions and wants listed, he says sadness never really took with him. This is strange, since I would have thought at least some sadness was an unavoidable part of being human.

Why not do one on "jealousy"? That one does count as something we can avoid, though most do not.
